Shakin' all over

Johnny Kidd & the Pirates. One of the pioneers of the UK pub rock scene in the 50's, they played a healthy dose of rhythm & blues back then when it have a totally different (and more dignified) meaning. They will performed in full pirate costumes complete with the eye patch and a cutlass for Johnny Kidd(which reported to use it rather dangerously on stage). This is also the band of Mick Green, the guitarist whose unique style of playing lead and rhythm at the same time inspired many other guitarist, notably Wilko Johnson from Dr Feelgood, another UK pub rock monster. Sadly Johnny Kidd died in a car accident on 1966, leaving the Pirates who continue on with a few reunion and reincarnation until today with Mick Green, Johnny Spence and Mike Roberts.

The Pirates is also very big in Japan. In 2000, they toured there with Wilko Johnson, through which they became acquaintance with TMGE. Mick Green ended up making a single with TMGE, "Kwacker" and Abe Futoshi nearly died of massive nosebleeding when he was invited to play with the Pirates on one of their song."Imagine a Rolling Stones fan doing a joint gig with the Stones....it means that much to me. Anyway here is the vid of Koji Ueno's side project with Muto Syohei of Katteni-Shiyagare's fame. They play mariachi punk concept, acoustically. The duet is called Muto Syohei with Ueno Koji i guess, and the song name is Rico, and i can't find any damn album on the internet. Enjoy.

Tp enset skrg macam2 leh buat ek. Boleh tembak laser, kuar lightsaber, rakam 3gp sex..nak henshin pon leh pakai enpon. Not like i give a fuck though. Aku dah puas ati gile dgn enset cikai yg leh wat call ngan msg je. Tp enset pon penting gak... untuk mengelakkan tragedi McD Kajang drpd berulang(you saw this coming right.Hahaha).

Ahhh...Jack'n'Meg duo is still the best. Especially with their older stuff, y'know their classics like Canon, Astro and covers of Death Letter(Son House) and One More Cup of Coffee(Dylan) from their self-title and De Stijl album. I know Jack had been messing around with a couple of band aside White Stripes-The Racounteurs and Dead Weather, I think maybe he miss the sound of a full band, though the new bands sound more hollow to me if you compare them with the 'Stripes.
The 'Stripes is currently working on their seventh album after Meg recovered from her acute anxiety that forced the band to cancel their US tour in '07, and Meg need some time to start over from her 'one year dead-halt' as Jack put it. The latest offering from the duo is the film "Under Great White Northern Light", document their Canadian tour which include live concert and off-stage footage. Gonna post them links as soon as somebody rip 'em cos I dont think its even on sale now(only can order from their site).

Jack White' word of wisdom-

Oh yeah, before I forget.. if you cats out there dig the 'Stripes maybe you want to check out this band from Vancouver called The Pack A.D (stand for after death); a blues-rock, guitar-drum duet similar to the 'Stripes concept but the difference is that they are both girls. Dont be mislead tho, these chicks fuckin rocks, HARD! And their blues have this kind of old school vibe whereas White Stripes bend the blues to fit the ears of the modern masses. Still they both sound kind of similar on your first 2-3 round of their albums, Tintype and Funeral Mixtape..

Frank Sinatra

Location:Englewood, New Jersey

Charges: Sinatra was brought up on a morality charge for his relationship with a married woman. The charges were eventually dropped two months later.


Sid Vicious

Arrest Date: October, 1978

Location: New York, New York

Charges: The Sex Pistol's bassist was arrested and charged with the murder of his then-girlfriend Nancy Spungen. He was busted again in December after allegedly brawling with Patti Smith's brother Todd, and was charged with felonious assault.

Marilyn Manson

Arrest Date:September 21, 2001

Location: Oakland, Michigan

Charges: Never one to back away from outlandish and revolting behavior, Marilyn Manson was arrested in September of 2001 following an incident at a concert in which he gyrated against the head and neck of a security guard. He was charged with fourth-degree criminal sexual conduct and assault and battery, and pleaded no contest to misdemeanor charges (he paid a $4,000 fine).

Charges: After found staggering drunkenly down Beale Street, Ozzy Osbourne was arrested and charged with public intoxication. This charge was surprisingly mild compared to Osbourne's arrest a few years earlier in San Antonio, Texas for urinating on the Alamo.

Mick Jagger

Arrest Date: July 18, 1972

Location:Warwick, Rhode Island

Charges: After a scuffle involving a photographer, Mick Jagger, Keith Richards and three other members of their entourage were arrested and charged with assault and obstructing the police. All charges were eventually dropped for the five men.

Axl Rose

Arrest Date: July 12, 1992

Location: St. Louis, Missouri

Charges: One year after allegedly inciting the legendary riot at the July 2, 1991 Guns N' Roses show in St. Louis, Axl Rose was arrested and charged with four misdemeanor counts of assault and one count of property damage. Considering the fact that the riot resulted in sixty injuries and two million dollars worth of damage to the Riverport Performing Arts Center, Rose's two years of probation and $50,000 fine seemed like a small price to pay.
